Warped air filter box

Has anybody had a problem with there air filter box warping. Mine was warped on the front side, thus alowing the air filter to sag down. This caused a drivability problem see other post buck/jerk hesitation. The MAF senser had a piece of plant material in it causing a lean missfire. To fix it I had to take a heat gun and get it smoking hot. Then while pushing it in I cooled it down with some snow.

Do you mean it warped at the joint between the air filter housing and the rest of the intake? most likely resulted from misaligning the clamp holding the two sections together.

With the top and filter removed it is the front edge next to the grill. It was bowed out or toward the grill.
