Hi, I don't drop in this side of the board too much, but I thought someone might like to know about them.

If you go to ebay.com search for "led nozzle" and there are a whole bunch of light up nozzles, some universal, other for rangers and therefore explorers, I'd guess. I'm sure they're illegal, but they seem sort of fun!

It depends on what color you get. My friend had a set of the blue ones on his Jetta and got pulled over a lot for them but his dad is a cop so he got off but he mentioned to the cop that he was going to get a set of white ones and he didn't have a problem with it. I think they consider them like fog lights. I think they look cool on some cars but I dont know about on trucks.

Yeah I was thinking about getting some of those too, but I think its gonna turn into one of those things that everybofy has pretty soon.

yeah, in the past year lots of people got them. some even make them flash. i think they are already too trendy. just like the wheel LEDs:rolleyes:

Do those wheels LEDs look cool or what?? Cuz I have never ever seen them on a car, but they look pretty neat. I might get them if they look cool, cuz as of now I haven't seen anyone with them.

I'm guessing you can't turn them off either...which kinda sucks seeing as they're illegal:eek:

I see them all over the place now. Hey FitzMatt, yes you can turn them on and off, all you have to do is wire them to a switch so you can turn them on and off as you please.

they look nice

yeah ive seen those too....... lots of them.... actually i was going to buy a pair the other day. but upon further inspection i dont really think they would work well with our explorers....... i noticed that our nozzles are are placed underneath the wiper housing.
so if we simply replace the factory ones.
the light wont show. i was thinking about placing them elsewhere but that might mess up the spray. or interfere with something else. if anyone can figure a good place to put them let me know.
hey what if you used four nozzles ?? think that might work ?

Yeah, i have blue nozzle lights on my 93 explorer. Are they illegal in California? These nozzles are hard too install since the nozzles are not placed on the hood. my nozzles dont even spray on my windsheild. but i think they look pretty cool. i want to put on white nozzle lights instead.

Ruff Rider,

I've been thinking about putting in those lighted nozzles also but want to see an install. Do you ever hang out in PB on weekends. I usually cruise down there on Sunday afternoons. Will you be down in that are on Sunday or this Monday even? I would love to check out your ride and see how you put those nozzles in!!

i live pretty close to PB but i dont really go there. i can just tell you how to install them. first, you take out your stock nozzles. attach the new ones nozzles but unfortunately, you cant screw them on because of the placement of the nozzles. you cant put screws on the other end cuz it is impossible to put your hand through the frame. my nozzles are just sitting there. its secure but not tightened. to add the lighting just attach the wires to either your blinker wires or headlight wires.

Ruff Ryder - I think ANY blue lights in CA are illegal, since that's the color reserved for law enforcement. A lot of my friends had those "Almost HID" blue lights, and some of them get flak even for that slightly bluish tint.

Even though they don't go on totally perfect, what's going on with the washer fluid not on the windshield? Is it not angled right, too low, or too high?
