Watch Video on MFT screen while not in Park?

Thanks Rebecca,

Just to get my 2 cents in:

1. This was meant for the kids at the back seat, I'm trying to avoid adding yet another screen/speakers/system to the car.

2. As for safety and distraction. It can be argued that driving the new Explorer with the adaptive cruise, lane guidance, Sirius, navigation, phone and HD radio is as distracting as watching a movie. At some point you must trust the driver and the driver must own up for his actions/choices.

You're welcome, sterlinggold! I try not to engage in conversations such as this one; I just had to throw in my bit about warranty. So, if you all will excuse me now... :)

With the possible exception of navigation, if you are intent at staring at the screen for long periods of time, and the phone to some extent, I fail to see why adaptive cruise, lane guidance, Sirius, and HD radio would be a distraction. The first two actually are very helpful tools should you get distracted.

Before or after they kill themselves, their family, or worse yet, someone else????

i agree with you 1000%, especially your point about maybe killing SOMEONE ELSE! in Germany they can't even understand why Americans want cup holders in their cars. They feel that even drinking a Coke while driving is too much of a distraction, and it's not because of Autobahn speeds. Germany's highway safety records are far better than ours, even with Autobahn speeds, because they believe in concentrating 100% while driving. anyone who honesty believes they can multi-task while driving is a fool.
