Has anybody here had to deal with a water leak on the passenger side right where the air vent box (under the dashboard) connects to the firewall and to that outlet hose on the engine side of the firewall? I ran some water with a garden hose on top of the cowl grille towards the passenger side end. While most of the water ran down the driver side's drain tube, I noticed some water was dripping inside the air vent box by the blower assembly. Is that the correct drainage path for some of the water (rain/car wash) in that cavity, so that it can go out through the hose on the firewall? Some of the water going down that path is leaking into the cabin.
This is happening on a 2000 Ford Ranger with the regular cab body style.
