wow al easy on whatever you are drinking. lol

yes, bolt boxes to the floor, maybe even throw some loud ass horns under the box if the alarm goes off they go off and use different types of screws, such as allen wrench heads or other kinds. stuff like that will slow it down adn if you have a pager you may/may not be able to catch them in the act if you have stuff to slow them down

also, if you know they did it. do they have cars? hehe mess with their stuff

First, I do not drink, I wanted to know why he didn't report the loss to the police if he knew who had it. Ir why didn't he simply go get it.

I know I'm prolly pushing my luck but I've had a system in each of my 2 Suv's, EX and my old Isuzu Trooper (R.I.P).

Anyway, I never had any problems with anyone doing anything to my car cause of it. Sure it doesn't look awesome. But it's a box I built with 4 12" subs in it, and an MMats amp sitting on top of it. With a Pioneer 9300 Deck in the dash. Thing that's weird too, is that I've had alarms in both of my SUV's and for some reason neither of them ever worked. One in my EX now, goes off but the siren doesnt' work, it's all hooked up and stuff, think I just need to get a new/better alarm anyway.

BTW I'm 19, and have had these cars all the way through highschool and drove them every single day, everyone at my Highschool new I had my system, I've never parked my SUV's in a garage, and never ever had a problem.

I'm a little less worried about people trying to steal my stuff now that It's lifted cause well you can't really see into the EX that good, but, usually if someone has a nice truck, there is usually some goodies inside. So it's prolly even more prone to getting broken into now.

Prolly should really fix that alarm soon!!!

That is a very good idea. Use some "security star" bolt son the boxes, and they will never get them out in the first try. If they do break in, change the bolts before they come back next time with the proper tools....

man these arsome really great ideas i am going to have to try these.

these are my thoughts on it. to hell with them. i would rather have a pile of broken stuff on my hands then let those parasites have it. i do plan on gettng my alarm with the pager function. how does it work? i mean is it a regular pager? or does it just function as that? do i have to pay a monthly bill or subscription to let me access this stuff? or is it just a closed circuit between the pager and the car?

My add-on pager works by transmitting a signal from the pager brain to the pager itself over an FM frequency (Mine is at 434.79 Mhz). Installation requried me to connect a power and ground wire, stick the antenna to the windshield, and hook up a couple wires to the sensor wires of the alarm. Now I get paged for the first or second stage of the shock sensor, the second stage of the motion sensor, the glass breakage sensor, or any of the regular alarm functions - door opening, hood opening, etc.

It looks like a regular pager but you cannot receive numeric pages on it from other people. Mine has a clock, range indicator, alarm clock, vibrate and audible mode and an LCD display that shows which part of the car set off the arlm. You do not have to pay a monthly bill for it, it's just a closed circuit.

New question:

How can you protect against have your rims stolen?????

Use anti-theft security lug nuts. They can be defeated too, but once again, only if the theft is planned out in advance with the right tools.......

plus if u have an alarm the shock sensor should go off if they crank them lugs off your wheels. My remote pager is the actual remote for my keyless entry. Check the video for details:

How are locks defeated? I heard it breaks their wrench if they do that, so maybe if i went with 2 sets of locks? what do u think?

my solution

ok here is my solution i have also been broken into twice. wut i eventually did was i bought sum 15's and decided to build a custom box. I built the bos soo big that if any one tried to steel it they would need a big suv and more than one person to lift it. i also plan on getting an alarm sys soon but i think it is fine for now. It is about 4 inches from the back hatch with it closed and about 4 inches above the back seet and the whole width of the cargo area. No stoage room but who needs it.

Along the same lines as the "pain generators", some people have gone to the length of actually electrifying the body of the vehicle. I have read of a few examples in Car Audio & Electronics but it was many years ago. Shock is similar to that of a 12v electric fence used with live stock. If you've never been shocked by one - trust me, it's rough. It doesn't incapacitate like a tazer gun but it's strong enough that a thief can't just "endure the pain" while he's ripping you off. I have no idea how it's set up or what the potential liabilities might be but it would be a heck of a deterant.

Now THATS what i'm lookin for!

lol
then the theives no longer need to steal your stuff they will have a lawsuit and get alot more money.

they would just make some excuse they bumped in to your car.

It would be great to see their faces when they touched the truck though.
