I've had fun driving mine in the snow since the 1st of December. I'm getting quite tired of snow...Today they've predicted another 4-7" for this area.

Mine performs really well too...No complaints here. One of the best snow vehicles I've ever owned.

It even snowed down here a little! I was finally able to slide around with the AWD

Ought to be fun this weekend, they have forcasted 3-6" on the conservative side for the Piedmont and the foothills. That will be major snow storm for NC, people here don't know how to act on just one inch.

What really is going to bit for me is that I need tires really bad and I have some 31's mudd/snow tires coming at tax time which will be as soon as w2 gets here. I think I'm going to just go get a couple used tires to replace my slicks just so I can go play a little.

My driveway is very steep and cement. It took me a couple of runs to get up it last night. I kept sliding off the side and getting into the ditch. I finally hit it just right and stayed in the center and I made it up. I dug up the ditch pretty good with my tires and now I have mud all over my Explorer, gotta love it :)

snow fun

we got a couple inches last night...i was doin power slides:burnout:  in a big parking lot. i love my X in the snow...the difference between driving with my x in the snow compared to my impala is night and day...the BEST snow vehicle ive ever had...

Wonder if you guys back east are going to get all the arctic air that we've got now. As I sit here and type this, it's -12°F outside! Factor in the wind, and we've got -30° windchills.
Even our shop isn't warming up today...We're doing some work on the wrecker, and it's only 48° in the shop, and the heater hasn't turned off since 9:00 this morning.

They're predicting -2° at kickoff time for tomorrow's Packers/Giants game, with -15° windchills!

yeah post some pics of ur x in the snow we would love to see them

i luv my X 4wd ...i dont off road it but it cant be beat for the snowy slick stretchs of I-80 i see here in nebraska and iowa ...though i dont push it ...i hav noticed it get lousy gas mileage with the 4wd engaged ....but come to think of it the temp that day was near zero and had to fight a 30 mph crosswind .

That, and you've got a 4000+ pound SUV with the aerodynamics of a loaf of bread. They don't get good MPG, that's all there is to it.

That's just the price you pay when you want a good 4X4 with the versatility of a truck with the room of a car. But I think it's worth it :)

it's 65 and snowing here...

-10° here, and all the dry road salt blowing around on the roads makes it kind of look like it's snowing.
