No snow here in Florida and thank god for that.
I moved here to get away from that stuff.
This is where I have been spending my winter afternoons.
Lake Rousseau:
miffilin...pa ?....i used to spend alot of time in the great state of penn ..theres so many mifflins in pa ..theres mifflintown ..mifflinville ...mifflinton ..etc ..nothin beats the the penn mtns is the fall!..what a treasure the people of penn have !
We got dumped on again last night...Around 8-9" more fresh powder. It's so cold too, that regular road salt won't melt it. The county is using a blend of sand, gravel, and calcium carbonate (?) when it gets this cold. Not sure what calcium carbonate is...I wasn't paying attention in chemistry a lot of the time.
It was quite slippery...I was able to out-slide the AdvanceTrac's trying to correct me, as even applying brake pressure to the correct wheel wasn't doing much. There just wasn't any traction! It was great...Got to get it to drive sideways for several hundred yards just like I could do with my old Grand Cherokee with Quadra-Trac. Loved it!
