Weapon R?

Does anyone have any experience with Weapon R air intake kits? I'm still shopping for an intake for my '04 V6 but things are pretty thin.

i would stick with k&n or something else then weapon R. There has to be something better out there. You check e bay?

You can get a K&N for about $215 shipped.

Not sure if the prices are still the same but gripmotorsports.com has them for $202 and autoanything.com will beat it by $10+shipping. This was a few months ago but i ended up paying about $215 to my front door.

Great intake by the way. Really makes the exhaust sound good and looks good under the hood.

i have the weapon r in my x. Its a pretty nice cai with noticeable performance gains.

the 02-03 models have intakes available because the maf is a seperate piece from the factory air box...

the 04-05 models have the airbox, and maf combined as one piece which really limits the options for our year X's

you have pictures of the Weapon R intake on your X ????? I have never seen one for the 04-05 model year...

sorry. The only intake difference i knew of was the drive by wire instead of the cable throttle. Yeah that would make things complicated.

Your seeing correctly, had it laying around and it fit perfectly. A lot better than the $40 universal trays they sell at the auto store. Plus the dual batteries give a longer supply of power when the engines off.
