is that the lower window molding on the lift gate?

If it is mine is doing the same thing, but i dont think it is rotting. I think it had developed a gap and sand/dirt/etc is getting up between the lift gate and the seal, because mine really starts to poor out when i am washing the car.

Yeah washing the car is no fun but i think your right i wonder how this can be fixed easily?

i dont know i got a catalog the other day that showed the parts for the rear lift gate and i guess that molding is riveted into place. So that would make taking it off and replacing it almost impractical. I have thought about putting like silicon or something, but i just deal with it! hahha.

hmm

maybe just tae it off altogether
i dont konw i mean removing rivets can be tuff specially from a downward angle but maybe it can be epoxyed back into place or something

Catalog, What Catalog

i don't know i got a catalog the other day that showed the parts for the rear lift gate ....

Out of curiosity, What catalog are you writing about?
Do you have the website?

The reason I ask is that I'm having a problem with my rear lift gate latch that I need to repair. Any Help would be great, since ford can't get their years correct in their parts dept.

Oh yeah how could i forget Torrie from fastpartsnetwork great guy sells for less too fast shipping

got pissed

so i got pissed and ended up drilling out the rivets and taking off the two end caps which were all rusted out anyway heres pics:

after all cleaned up looks like it stained the paint after being there for plenty of time...not to bad though I have plans to remove all the black siding in the summer off the liftgate just like Section did to his truck just dont have the time to do it now.
