i removed my spare tire yesterday as i was doing some maintance and i notice after i got the tire all the way down and gave it a few turns to get some slack on the cable that the truck went up about 1/2 to 1 inch.. is this possible or do i have a weak spring? it does lean to the driver rear a bit and u can tell when its park that it does. i left the spare off for now but i just cant believe that taking it off gave me about an inch higher lift. also notice my shackels are almost gone will be changing soon. thanks for any feedback

It shouldn't be an inch - because if that's the case, then sitting on the rear bumper should squat the vehicle even more - which is unlikely.

well yea that what i was thinking but maybe it was the way i measured it.. i cant see how the spare can be that havey for gain an inch

Put spare back in cargo area a remeasure to check you numbers

with out anything in the back im at 4 1/2 inches from top of tire to the lip of the wheel well area.. before it was 3 3/4 but i had a 50 lbs tool box and some other junk. so i will add the tire and remeasure it again. im not saying it did give me a higher number but more unlikely that it did. i dont see how just taking the tire out can do that. i measure with out thetool box and other stuff before so maybe taken all the stuff out made it go higher some but not an inch. trying to improve mpg but i dont want to leave my spare at home either i have to clean the rust off the spare before i put it back under the bed thanks guys
