Hey guys I have a small cheap dvd player i use in my truck for my in dash screen well its a 110 vot model so i use my inverter to power it but i have to keep it in the back of the truck for space reasons so i cant use the remote to control the unit. SO i had an idea to take the unit apart and find the optic eye for the remote and i found its on a little circuit board with a little wire harness attached to it so I was wondering if i could just cut and splice this harness and make it long enough to go to the front of my truck and use it kinda like a remote eye unit on a more exspensive model made for cars has. would this be a good idea ? if i break it im out like 20 bucks so i guess its worth a try .
