Hi, I have a 93 explorer with a bad plug fouling on 2 cylinders but it comes and goes. The engine runs fine for a few days then misfires a few days then runs good for a few days. It feels like those 2 cylinders are being flooded with oil then for some reason it stops flooding. Is it a pvc valve? plug wires? broken rings or what? I recently replaced warped heads on the engine and my wife drove it quite a ways with no water in it prior to replacing the heads.

Could be a few things...

Before going after things like valve cover gaskets, etc....I'd pull the plugs and wires and make sure they're in good shape.

..What do the plugs look like and what cylinders are the problem???

if it is intermittent like that I would look at changing the plug and wire before tearing into the engine.

will do in a few days after all this rain lets up lol.
