Well, this is a little late since we totaled our '98 Explorer on the 27th, but we are getting another one today since we loved it so much. The insurance is giving us a LOT more, ($9,900.00) then we expected for a truck with over 230,000 km and lots of little things creaping up.
Since we are getting the same truck, except the new one has SOHC as opposed to the old one OHV, we were noticing somthing strange the last few weeks of its life. When stopped, there was a quite noticable "Humming" sound from the front of the truck. When we stepped on the gas, there was a hesitation, once stalling, then when driving, the noise would go away, and not come back until stopped again.

Any ideas?
Thanks
Paul
