it's not the blend door, i had that replaced in october. it's not the hot/cold knob, it's when i turn the air or heat on, there is a noise coming from around the glove compartment and underneath it. sounds like a shifting sound. is this a door or something for heat to come out the bottom? does it need to be oiled up or something?

i had something similar. it turned out to be the foam seal inside the airducts coming unglued and it would rattle like crazy. it took me a couple of weeks to figure out what the problem is. dont know if your problem is the same. good luck

the airducts underneath the glove box? and are the seals right at the end for an easy fix? and thanks

Yeah they are right before the vent openings into the cab. If you get a flashlight in there you should see it. i just took a screwdriver and pushed it back into place. I didnt expect it to hold without some type of adhesive on it but its been a few months and no problems yet.

BTY my problem was with the vent in the middle of the car on the passengers side not under the dash so i dont know if its the same problem but give it a looksee

alright, thanks alot man.

Get a flashlight and drop the glove box. No tools are needed, just push in the plastic release on the glove box and the door will open out of the way.

You can now see the recerc door motor. Turn the vent selector to panel/off and you can see the door open and close. Check for any problems there.

cool, thanks alot. i'm gonna do that tommorow. that sound easy enough. :)
