I was planning on getting a pair fo 2" lift coils for my X, but today someone told me I cant just add 2 extra inches of coil without getting other parts to adjust the camber/caster. I thought after the lift I would take it to get an alignment and they would take care of it at the 4x4 shop.
So, do I need any thing else other than the coils for the front and add a leafs in the back? It would be great to know if I am missing any parts before I do the lift!
Thanks

C'mon guys, I have a set of baja claws just beggin to be put on! Help me out here.

wat size mickys do u have for your exp??? and then i can tell u wat to do

well really wit 31x10.5s u dont need a lift thats wat i run wit my exp. i have bounced off rocks and went window high n mud and never rubbed except once but that was cuz the inner wheel well on the driver side was fallin down. but if that's all you want to do with it then yea u have the right idea
i am taking the radius arm brackets from my 84 bronco, taking the coil springs from a 79 F150 and buying a set of dropped center hinges from skyjacker to give myself around 7 to eight inches of lift also replacin my rear wit one from a 92 ranger so i can run 35inch boggers.
let me kno how your lift works out for ya

You just need to get it aligned after. I did mine a year ago....still have not aligned

Why the hell you wanna do a dmn fool thing like that?

The ranger rear is narrower and weaker and doest have discs. Just weld some spring over perches on your factory axle and your set.

its a much better idea. sorry to seem a little snappy in my first post. i jsut got bad news about my tranny.

well it turns out tha rear i have is a 7.5 neways so i will just beef up my 8.8 till i git ready for the 9incher or D60 haven't decided yet

Crafty,
Like above...just take it to an alignment shop once you get um on. The 2" is fine, any more and you'd need more...but your camber will remain well within specs. I ran the 2" daystar for awhile and never even had it realigned, course the wear on my front treads paid the price! It shouldn't cost you more than $50-70 to have your camber angle/ front end alignment done.

Thanks alot guys!
The local shops wouldnt give me a straight answer, they would just say "buy one of our lift kits, they have everything you need". Cant wait to get the lift and tires on.
