Running from the law in an Explorer is like taking a knife to a gun fight. Jumping off cliffs and the like is the exact reason My parents made me buy by own vehicles. And your repairs are only the begining. The call 'em Exploders for a reason. Ive got well over $3500 into mine and it is a 96 with under a 100k. And it goes into the shop Thurday for a rack and pinion, an axle shaft, and prob. a driveshaft. Then I need an ABS module. It never ends.
You should also know whether or not your wheeling in an approved area. Otherwise more places are going to close, and all the people who wheel respectively get a bad rap and loose out on trails.

i know not to wheel in illegal places, i didnt intend to, and ive been driving a lot since then, and i know it was a stupid thing to do, i have learned my lesson

im 16, my mom had my x before me bought new. the stupidest thing ive done with my x is i sprained the door, i fixed that pretty much. ive gona off-roading but im very careful. i know the limits of the x, i have gone through a water pit but thats it, i try to stary away from mud. i went on a trail i thoght was legal. so i go back to the trail like a week later and it has a no truss passing sign and you could see my marks on the incline cuz the tiers were spining to go up the incline to get the thge main road. so i dont go there anymore. im not gonna go off roading anymore. i got 65k on my x, i have been lucky, onlu problem was a power steering pump(knock on wood) but it was still under warentee. i know that im gonna have problems comeing up with my tranny in the kinda near fture because the tranny fluid was never changed untell i got it (56k). so im being carefull now
