What does everyone recommend for wheels. I am looking for 15x8 and I would like a wheel that can handle bad weather and abuse. The wheels I have now I have only had for about 8 months and the center caps are badly rusted and the clearcoat is coming off. I want something that is going to be more durable and still look good.

I run 15x8 Rockcrawler wheels without the center caps. They look great and they only have rusted where I have smacked them on rocks.

Well, different people will give you different opinions, so theres not really one wheel that is deemed as the best. Search the web for Eagle Alloys, Les Schwab, American Racing, Mickey Thompson, Centerline, and look in magazines like Motor Trend and especially 4wheeler, they have alot of different companies you can choose from. Personally I like the 5 spoke chrome Eagle rims. Dont remember the name or model number, but they look pretty simple but really nice at the same time. Course that MY opinion ;)

Just get what you like and clean them when they need it. Thats about does it. lata

I like the design of a lot of rims, but I don't want to run without centercaps and I don't want to spend more money on rims only to have them start looking crappy in a year or so.

the only problem you'll run into w/ aluminum wheels is keeping them clean. i use mothers aluminum polish and eagle A to Z or Mag Wheel cleaner. these are the mickey thompson classic II's. they look and will wear better than the 589's. they have steel sleeved lug hole inserts that won't wear down or warp. they are also indenticle in price to the 589's.

If you want the best, buy Weld rims. Those are more for off roading. There are many Wheel manufacturers and all high quality rims do need constant care.

My answer to your question is round wheels are best :) sorry, couldn't resist. If for an offroad rig I would go with black spoke steel wheels. If for both street and offroad I would go with a wheel like what Olivesman posted.
