What can i do to my explorer?

Ok, so currently I drive a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500. My mom has the Explorer and has decided to give it to me since I am a single full time dad with a dog. The truck is just impractical. Anyways, I am an outdoorsy dude, i like to hunt fish and hike, surf fish mostly. My question is, what kind of mods can i do to the Explorer that isnt too outragious?

Have some all terrain tires installed, if you don't have them already. I have Goodyear Wrangler ArmorTracs. They handle great in the winter. With my Explorer, it's really about keeping it maintained, than modifying anything. But that's just me. I like to keep vehicles in a factory configuration unless there is a specific aftermarket change warranted according to my needs.

yeah i have perelli all terrains on it now, thinking of going with a little more aggressive tires. i was thinking of putting a little lift like 4" on it. for when i do go hiking in the mountains. idk. like i said nothing big.
