What can I really do to my '00 5.0

Hey What's up people I am new hear and don't really know all the Mods that can be done. I know the usual exhaust, cold air kit. I am thinking of just making a cold air from some tubing like I did on my '95 Z28 but what exhaust and header combo do you guys recommend also what about throttle bodies and intake manifolds and plenums? And seeing how mine is a '00 model what else is out there that is California legal also can you use mustang parts ( gt-40 intake and heads) will they work with the computer? also what about suspension kits I would like to lower mine about 2" and of course sway car and poly bushing if available what else?
and as you can see I really don't know diddly this is my first Ford...

your truck all ready comes with gt-40p heads and redesigned version of the gt-40 intake. your best beat is to get a bigger mass-air, computer chip, shift kit, exhaust and headers. this is pretty much the slandered issue for what you can do for your truck.

I'm just jumping on this to follow the thread. My parent's just picked up the same truck, and I know my dad will end up doing some mods to it....Hey, ya can always supercharge it. That'll definaltly give yer truck a good swift kick in the rear

thanks for the info on the GT-40 stuff didn't know that, and yeah supercharging actually looks like it would be real easy to do on this motor (unlike my Z) since the one I seen sits on top of the manifold..

What exhaust combo do you guys recommend? As far as chips I have heard good and bad things about them I had a hypertech PP in my Z and really didn't get any gains from it ...does anyone reprogram the computers for these?
