If you look at 91 and 92 D35 TTB beams you can see the change, the piece that Ford welds on to the end of the knuckle to pich the ball joint shim (upper) was changed. APPARENTLY the earlier models had a threaded shim, I have never seen this version and I have a 92 front end!
The only difference I have seen is the style of the pinch bolt itself, one is a 12mm 12 point head and the other is a bolt.....
I also question this when looking for shims or ball joint, the funny thing is different shops have different years, some say before 92 some say before 93, until I see otherwise. I dont know if the threaded knuckle even exists! If you have a 91 or 92 and need shims or ball joint, check yours before you shop for the ball joints!
