what year did ford change the interior colors?

What year did Ford change the interior colors? From what I can tell they changed the lighting from blue to green and the shade of the tan interior was lightened. I wanna make sure when I go junk yard hunting that I get parts that match my '99.

My '97 has blue lighting. I am pretty sure that '98s have green. My interior is gray, can't help you there.

98 Eddie Bauer

My dash lighting is green. As for my leather, its a tan color, much lighter i have noticed than the leather on my buddie's 96 Limited Edition.

Interior backlights were changed in 98. The tan was also lightened in 98 I believe

Well, I digged in a box and found a '97 brochure. The tan was lightened in '97. They called it Medium Pierre Tan. The backlightings were changed in '98.

Was it 97? I stand corrected then. My interior is grey.

I much prefer the lighter tan to the darker saddle.

Stephen, I have the Saddle interior. It's too yellowish-brownish to me. But it hides dirty stuff pretty well though so I'm not complaining.

I see! Thanks for the help, guys! I used to own a '96 but that interior was grey. I almost bought one with a blue interior! I thought it looked cool back then. I think there was also a green color.....

i never saw an explorer with a blue interior. mine has a red interior and i see a lot of that in black first generation explorers.

Red? Wow, I never knew there was red also. Yes, I am positive that I once took a long look at an Explorer with the blue interior. Doesn't anyone on this message board have one?

Well, I have a red interior as well, but I think I have to much red, it's actually a wine red color, I wish it could be another color cause the outside of my truck is also wine red 94 X. so it's pretty sucky to have interior and exterior the same color...

No usually the interior of an Eddie Bauer of a 93-94 is the same color as the Fender Flares or running board meaning tan...

I have an XLT so that's why mines is all red

My '95 Eddie Bauer has green backlights. Maybe mot as green as the newer ones, but green. Maybe I'm colorblind or colorstupid.
