2002 Explorer Sport 2wd
I was planning on getting a small lift on my '02 explorer sport 2wd.
I am looking for something practical and economical for taking kayaking trips to cut down on rubbing over small logs and bushes that i have to go around with the normal height of my Explorer.
I would appreciate any input on my situation, i don't want to pay for anything i don't need since i know virtually nothing on the subject.
Thanks, Steven.

Money...

Well, first off, welcome to the site. Here you will find tons of useful and useless information (you be the judge). Warning, mod'ing your X will become addictive, but fun :D

As for your lift, do a search for Torsion Twist, warrior shackles, and an add a leaf (or AAL). Thats a good 2" lift.

You can do a 2" or 3" body lift to clear bigger tires if wanted.

Enjoy :chug:

Wait a little while, I don't even think there are lifts for 2002 Ex's... and $$$ and patience...

Yo Brian... '02 SPORT

Same frame/running gear as my truck. There are no (and will probably never be) lifts for the 3rd Gen 4 doors, but he's still got the good ole 8.8 in the rear.
