Do you have any pics?

Exploreral,
There are 2 "mainstream" ways you can go: 2" coil spacer/shackle lift + 3" body lift or
5.5" suspension lift.

Let's see if some early model guys chime in with some suggestions.

You're gonna have to go up quite a ways to fit 33x12.50's. I have a 5.5" lift and it still rubs on the swaybar and other places before I cut up the inside of my fenders. Course, that's a suspension lift. You could go with a 2.5" James Duff lift and a body lift, or do what Alec suggested, but that's gonna include a body lift. It's pretty much personal preference whether you want to do a body lift or not...some people will tell you it's a good thing, some will tell you bad.

There's a few other ways you could do it, like doing a 4" suspension lift and a 2" body lift or something. But anyway you look at it, you'll have to go up at least 5-6" wihout having to do major trimming. You could get away with 4, but you'd have to do a lot of trimming...maybe. I'm not giving any guarantees because some trucks are different...and I don't have any experience with anything but the 5.5", but have done a lot of reading.

Or you could get 33x10.50's and you wouldn't have to lift it as much... 12.50's are just harder to fit under there.

As I said, I have the 5.5" superlift lift, and I am having to extend my drive shaft. Some others have not had to. What else you have to do is dependant on what comes with the lift you buy. You'll have to get extended brake lines, get new shocks, drop pitman arm. You also might have to get alignment shims after you're done. And one other thing, it won't stay aligned for as long as when stock. You'll have to get it aligned fairly often, so a good lifetime alignment deal from somewhere (Firestone does it, I've heard of other places as well) would work good...

Well, hope I helped.

Hell, I just hope I made sense  :D

Hi Jason_25 Going take some this week end will post them soon. god i love my 33's But Now I want 35's, a
rear locker , a safari bar , RCD Coil Over lift, Etc... God Will it ever end. I sure hope Not:)

so all i would need is the lift kit to get going? How much is the superlift 5.5? I dont need anything else besides the kit and tires and rims? No driveline MODS?

You definitely are going to have to do a SAS w/ D44 minimum. to clear that. just joking but you should anyway, or you can do what I did. Details below

Jason_25, check out my sig for pics. I got 33x12.5 and didnt cut any metal. I just moved the fender well back, fabbed up a little bracket to hold it back. I also just trimmed the corner of my running board but unless you know how it looks stock I doubt anyone could tell I trimmed it. I dont have a pic of that but I will take some this weekend.

Ya also got some fender hacking.... if ya do that, you can keep down the lift.... But that's up to you...

You'd have to order seperate extended brake lines.. superlift sells them, but i've heard there are other ones that are cheaper or better. i have superlift ones.

I believe skyjacker does/did make a 6" lift kit, which is also (maybe) an option.

If you go with the Superlift, you would also have to decice whether you want the superrunner kit that has extended radius arms. They allow more flex. with those the kit is more expensive, but i couldn't tell ya what it's like without them. i imagine it would be rather restrictive with stock radius arms... i couldn't really tell you an exact price on either, because it depends on where you buy it from. i know national tire and wheel, and 4 wheel parts carry the superlift, but a few other places sell it as well.

you also might have to buy shocks, or want to get better ones. i have superlift shocks that were sold with the kit, but i have heard opinions that they aren't that good. mine are just fine so far.

this is all pretty much by what i went through when buying my superlift kit. people have had different things happen when buying theirs, and there are a lot of threads about it.

your best idea for details would be to search the site for threads about it. and there are people much smarter than me on this site... :D
