What do you use on your frame?

I know ideally it is to completly sand off all paint and rust to primer and repaint. But who really has that much time to do it correctly not most of us I am sure.

I tried the Rust Encapsulator from Eastwoods and will say I sprayed it on directly over the rust as the directions state and it turned out awesome. It is sopposed to make the rust stop rusting and it bonds to make it harder and no more rust. I like it any others we should try?

POR15 and KBS are good stuff to use, provided you follow the directions to a T. POR15 and some bedliner are what's protecting my recently rebuilt underbody and chassis.

I used POR-15 on my daughter's Jeep and the rusting oil pan on my Focus. It seems to hold up fairly decently. DO wear gloves, a face shield, a Tyvek suit or black clothing, and a cheap paint brush when using it. It does not come off of anything it gets on. If you get POR-15 on your skin you have about 5 minutes to get if off with acetone or it will be there until it wears off in two weeks.

I will look them up I have heard of Por15 this stuff is almost the same haven't heard of the other yet but will when I am done typing here.

One of my neighbors used POR15 on a boat trailer and the POR primer stuck good, but the POR paint over it pealed off of the primer in places. The primer is still there, so it's not rusting, but it doesn't look the greatest.

I'm going to try Corroseal, which can be purchased at Home Depot. It's supposed to be a rust converter/primer. Very good reviews, once the weather gets nicer, getting under there and brushing it on.

Sweet I will get some pics of the rust encapsulator soon wish I had like 50 cans of it for all my vehicles.
