What does Priority 1 Order mean?

Just called my dealer and I was asking for my order number and he told me that my truck is classified as a Priority 1 Order... He is telling me like 4 to 5 weeks. Is he just blowing sunshine up my butt?

He might mean Priority 10 as that is the highest a dealer can assign an order. Priority 1-9 is reserved for internal Ford only orders which a dealer cannot assign. Those are reserved if something got really messed up with a vehicle and they need a replacement built real soon.

That is exactly correct!! When I ordered mine my salesman showed me my order and explained to me that priority level 10 is the best you can get. I think your dealer meant to tell you 10 instead of 1.

I ordered my Sport on December 12, 2012 and I picked it up at the dealer on January 31,2013 so it took around 7 weeks. That was fast considering that in between there was Christmas and New Year holidays!!

Or, as you said- he's just trying to puff some sunshine because you asked him for an order number. I would rather talk to the reps on here, than get info from a dealer employee.

I have been in contact with Crystal and she confirmed it is a Priority 01.. So I guess he is not lying. I guess he might be right with his time frame.. 4 to 5 weeks.

I was hoping for 6 to 8... Make sure the weather is nice.. April is a wet month.. I wanted it in May!
