But that one only covers explorer models. This one included the ranger, sporttrac and expedition. It may be out of scope, though. People might need it for comparison to other models also.

Obviously that is a "safe" guide.

It says pre '95 X's need minor trimming to fit 30x9.5... while many people fit 31x10.5 easily with NO trimming.

Who knows how many of the other models have the same type of "fitment" according to that magazine.

tgertz77, true I have the 31x10.5 with no trimming. I can agree that this obviously is an safe guide.
Since my coil springs and absorbers is totally worn out and the weeks passes by I have noticed that if I dont replace the suspension I surely will need some fender trimming..
