I was wondering, those that are running a 33' how much breakage you were seeing. and those with 35' how well is the ex was holding up. The reason I ask is that I have 33' going on as soon as my lift gets here, but I was planning on trimming the fenders since they are starting to rust anyway and stuff a 35' when they need replaced. I was just wondering what I was in for.
Thanks.

I've had my lift on for 2 years now. I also run 33's. Knock on wood, I haven't broken anything. As long as you keep everything torqued to specs you should be fine. When things can flex and move is when breakage happens, imo.

The dana 35 TTB front axle doesn't seem to handle 35's too well. Dannyboy here on this site has had more breakage since he upgraded to 35's if I remember right.

Hope this helps.

I run 37's onroad, and 35's offroad for three years now, and 33's for four years before that, and never broke. I wheel pretty hard offroad, too. I believe breakage comes from running a locker, having a heavy right foot, or both!

I have been running 35's for about a year now and I ran 33's for 2 years before that. With the 33's I didn't have any parts break with the exception of a worn out ball joint. When I stepped up to 35's I also added lockers and I have been breaking front axle shafts, u-joints, hubs, and steering components on just about every 4x4 trip I go on. However I wheel my X VERY hard and I expect to break parts. Especially on the D35 front end.:D
