Hello,
Im still new here and wanted to know something if you can help me out.
I have an '03 exp. sport 2dr. Between the radiator and grill there is what appears to be an electrical female socket on a wire bundle. What is it for? Outside temp. sending unit?
Thanks

Do you have the overhead temp and direction unit?

Hey Spindle!
No, I do not. But was wondering if this truck is pre-wired for it (?)

My XLT came with the unit, have not a clue as to if it was an option or not, would almost bet thats what it is for

welcome, i used to have a 99 ranger and it seems that i ha dthe same thing it look skinda like a plug? Im not sure but maybe this helps somehow

I would guess its for the Temperature display on the OHC. I'm not sure if it would be pre-wired in the roof or not. There may be another plug somewhere else for it.

Thanks to all! I figured that might be it...And yes spindlecone, my sport is an XLT as well. Might take a look in the headliner someday......Hmmm
