What size is the stock exhaust pipe? 2007 4.6V8 Sport Trac.

It typically varies throughout the exhaust run. Best way to tell if you are going to replace a section/part is to measure it yourself.

I'm specifically talking about the resonator in/out pipe. Im going to replace just the resonator with some tube and need to know what size to order. Cutting it off and disabling my vehicle to measure is not an option.

There are at least two easy ways to measure the OD of a tube/pipe without cutting it off.

this thread is old, but i just joined the forum and figured this would help other googlers and members. I believe the stock size is 3 inches

actually its 2.5 inches for my 2007 limited with the 6 cylinder. just measured using the circumference formula to find diameter haha.
