Ah, no it wont. It will compete with it but it will NEVER be MUCH BETTER if the installs are equal. But at half the price, the e12a is one awesome sub.

Better Audio 12

There are more but these all are fantastic subs.

to me half price means that if its the same sq and spl wise then it is twice as good! and that means way better to me.

i think his minds made up on the e12a anyways, jl is not an option because they are so common. he wants a sub that no one but enthusiasts know about 'cause he thinks that will make him cool

Agreed. I dont care for JL products because they are so common and way to expensive.

I would put the IDMAX up against the E12a anyday.

If you havent seen one in person....they are a very nice looking sub.

i think the focal 38 kx spl would be a good choice as well. i know its a bit pricier (the best deal i can get is like 900 lol) but it will show just about anything whats up with your amp.

this sub has a sensitivity over 98 and can handle 1,000 watts. it is better than jl because it has hand pressed 3 layer sandwich cone while the jl is maching pressed polypropylene crap and it can do much more with the same power.

also, its a brand thats out of reach for most people so it is appealing.

If you are going just for spl a Cerwin Vega Stroker is pretty damn good for it. The 10 is 1200rms and the 15 is 1400rms and the 18 is 1600rms i have the 18 and it is just sick with bass music and rap. Also a MMATS JUGGERNAUT is also a good sub. These are harder to find but they are just as good. Down side with these subs is they need huge boxs and you will have to make it. Also it will need a huge mono channel amp to sound good these things are able to handle anything.
