I have to replace the one I have and I've been looking on Amazon, but I don't know the temperature that is needed. Can someone please provide me a link on Amazon to which one I need?

I usually just get the $25 all metal dude with two sensors for a 02 sohc… have worked well for me

Some on here swear by the more expensive $52 one? Not sure why

The stock temp is 198 degrees
2002 has two clip in style coolant sensors
I usually renuse the factory sensors and new o rings instead of the cheapo sensors they come with

Did you try a search?

In terms of thermostats a 195 degree one should be fine for Georgia. I run a 185 degree here in Texas.

Yikes

Okay so a thermostat controls the minimum temp not the max

Your pcm needs to see 200 degrees before it will switch from open to closed loop
Or A 185 thermo may not get you to 200 degrees every drive cycle = not good
Condensation can build up in your exhaust and rust out your muffler
Engine performance, longevity and mpg will suffer
In order to Make sure the pcm sees 200 every drive cycle a 198 is factory thermostat
