What is this? It's kinda loose and springy... It is located right behind my grille...

I think so. I once detached it and just out of curiosity, I googled the part number.

It is indeed the ambient air temp sensor. Mine was reporting wrong so I swapped it with the one in my dad's Lincoln. His worked in mine so I then bought myself a new one and put his back in his car where it failed to work for a few days...and then it magically returned to normal again. Weird little things.
