I use 3 sets of hids 35w for the low beams and fogs and 55w for the brights, I have about 4 different colors which i change occasionally depending on how im feeling lol. All of my ballasts are digital slim ballasts makes them easier to install in tight places and they look better. look for a company that has slim ballasts that are digital most new ones are digital. there is so many company's out there i have a combination of stuff from about four different company's. the difference between the 55w and the 35w is brightness and power output.ex: if you had 55w 8k the color would look the same with a 35w 6k. the 55w is brighter but you loose some color. also when using a 55w system 9 time out of 10 you are going to need a relay cause they need more power for initial start up so one might flicker then turn off indicating there is not enough power. relay fixes that. on my 55 w ones i use them for my brights with no relay sometimes they work and sometimes one doesn't work, im just to lazy to get a relay.

companies to check:

ddmtuning(lifetime warranty)
hidcountry
kryptonbulbs
hidgeek

i ordered the kit from ddm its called the raptor v2, ill let you know how it is.

I run Digital Slim Ballasts from DDM, four of them at 35w

Awesome. About a year on one pair and 7 months on the other with no problems whatsoever.

And in addition to what fedyfedz has stated about 35w vs 55w, I have read that the 55w also run that much hotter temperature wise than the 35w, posing a greater risk of melting plastic headlight housings. Also, normal halogen bulbs run at 55w, why not use the 35w ballasts to conserve draw from the battery for something more important like oh say.. audio ;)

+1 for DDM bulbs. Im running BMW ballasts, but I am VERY impressed with DDM's bulbs. For the price point, they can't be beat. Very impressed with their product

used to be I would recommend DDM (though I never would recommend a kit only), but with their recent bulbs causing delamination of the chrome layer in some projectors. I no longer would. Their bulbs run hotter than most mid-level HID brands and way hotter than true oem brands.

Cheap is Cheap. There is no "free lunch". You get what you pay for.

All the above old phrases are still revelment.

You pay all shipping...no matter what. Warrantee is for as long as they are in business. Not someones "lifetime".

It's buyer beware......No matter what is promised.
