What kind of glue to use on window?

My drivers window pulled out of the front u shaped support. It was glued in from the factory. The factory glue appears to be hot glue. Does anybody have an idea if it is hot glue, or if not what it is? I put it in without the glue and don't think it will hoild up for long without it. Thanks.

I've used epoxy in this situation with good long lasting results. Clean out all the old adhesive first of course.

Take care, Paul

Window Urathane. Any window shop will sell you a tube. You'll need a caulk gun.
Also wear a pair of gloves. Window urathane will stain your hands and will not come off for at least a week.

just gob some of it on there before you go to bed by the next morning you'll be all set.

Thanx, I was hoping there was something that was made for it, and I wouldn't have to improvise. While I'm in the door I might as well grease the window tracks.
What do I grease the window tracks with?
I was told by the salvage yard to use white grease when I bought a replacement window for my old Cutlass. But when I asked the guy(he looked sooooo intelligent) It looked to me like he didn't know what to use and just made it up. There was a light brown grease that was on the tracks already, which was prob. just dirty white grease.

Wouldn't want to start a "how to get urethane of my anything" thread now.......

Yeah, urathane is both amazing and nasty all in one.
Yeah Mbrooks white lithium grease.

Well I ruined my door panel. The urethane they gave me was about as pliable as set cement. The tube actually exploded before any came out of the tip. I spent 10 minutes getting a spot off of the window only to get everything put back together, and see a dime sized spot on the door panel. It is now about 4 inches long, and I need a new door panel. It had better hold after this.

Damn man sorry to hear that.
Yeah, urathane is nasty. Sorry it went that way.

It's not too bad. It's on the plastic below the carpet patch. I can live with it for now. There was no directions whatsoever on the tube and I was wondering about dry time. It was about 40 here today I was guestimating at least 24 hours.
