Just a quick question: If I am running my RCAs from my headunit, down the passenger side, to the cargo area, what length RCA's should I get? Thanks

I used stinger 17 foot RCA's and they were long enough.

Take a tape and measure the length that you need.

Agree. I personally would be hesistant to rely on anyone's estimation or recollection on the length of wire needed. You could also wind up a little short due to variations in the placement of the components.

i assure you that 17 foot rca's will work unless you place the amp very high off the ground in the cargo area, and/or right up to the hatch.

I've installed like 15 sets of RCA's in explorers, you'll be fine with those.

i recommend using mobile spec personally

thanks guys, i'll be going with the 17 foot cables. I'll be going with Monster cables, mostly because I can get 60% off their stuff. ;)

group buy? i could use some new cables.

60% off isn't even a particularly good deal. the mark-up on that stuff is such that someone is still making a few bucks off of you.

I work for Radio Shack and we have started carrying Monster Cables. Where I have completed my Monster online certification, I can get anything Monster carries for 60% off.

I know some off you have a problem with Monster Cable, but remember something; you don't have to like it because its not you thats using it. Sorry, but I think that if I can get 60% off quality products then that is what I will be using.

no thats not what i'm saying at all.

monster is great quality- 60% off though isn't that great of a deal thats all. I know that the mark-up of their products is greater than that.

why be so hostile?

Sorry, didn't mean to come across as being hostile. Yes I do realize that their markup is high, just seemed like you were giving me a hard time fro going with monster. A long day working at radio shack with the internal system as well as the internet not working can make a person come acros as being hostile. No hard feelings, right? :)

yah, no problem.

monsters quality is certainly just as good as the mobil spec i run. really virtually the same stuff when your running the higher end(directional etc.) offerings from most of the brands rca wise.
