what lift and how high?

I have a 2005 ford explorer sport trac xt and im looking to lift it up, i just dont know what lifts are the best for these trucks and how high i should go? i am not looking to buy new tires at the moment so i want a lift that wont look dumb with 31s. any feedback helps, thank you! :exp::exp::exp:

you could probably get by with cranking the T-bars that will give it a 1.5-2 inch lift plenty of room for 31's and it looks good, its the cheapest too. if you want to take it a little further go with a body lift.

You can run 31s without a lift. I've done it no problem. If you plan on rnning 32s or higher, then start lifting.

i'm running 265/75R16 on stock rims with only a torsion twist and add-a-leaf the lift netted me 1.75" all around after the front settled.

You can fit 33s with just a body lift and a little trimming and they'll fit comfortably with a body lift and the TT/AAL(or shackle) lift. You can also fit 35s with the 2nd lift.
