A couple of years ago I had some extra money so I bought a 1967 F-100 to restore. It had a rebuilt BB 390 and was under $500, so I bought it right away. Well now that I'm a couple years older, poorer, and not enough time to finish the body work on it I pulled the motor and scraped the body so my dad could have his garage back. I put around $500 into the motor alone a couple of years ago w/ a 4 barrel Edelbrock, Cast Iron 4 barrel intake, ported head's and header's. The last time I drove the truck it left rubber in every gear. Now I know if I should sell the motor to get money (which would really come in handy to a college student), but I doubt I'll get over $500 for it? The only other thing I can think of would be to buy some older 4X4 truck w/ a bad BB engine in it and swap them. So should I just try to sell the motor and take a huge loss(I put over a $1000 into the truck total, and got $11.12 at the scrap yard for the body), or should I save up and look around for a beater 4X4 w/ a bad motor, put it in that and have as much fun as I can w/ it? Sorry for taking so long but I think if I don't do anything w/ the motor pretty soon dad will tell me to get it out of the garage, and that'll mean I'll get ripped off bad.
