What should I do???

I'm currently running 33"s with 4:10 gears. I need to install a rear locker, so should I switch to 35's and install 4:56 gears with the locker or just stay with the 33's and add a locker. I have a 4" Suspension and 3" Body lift. I don't want to make out the vehicles suspension. I have real good luck with the 33's, but deffinetly need a locker.

What are you guys running.

it depends, are you happy with the 33s? do you have the clearance to run 35s? gears, bigger tires and a locker is a lot to do all at one time... i would just put in a locker now... if the 33s fit you fine.... 4.56s also work fine with 33s...... or 35s..... it all depends on what you think you will need... the general rule of thumb is bigger if possible or needed, but if you doubt it will really matter, dont waste the $

if it was me id go ahead and put in 4:56's while its apart if the cash is there. then its already done if you want to go with 35's later down the road. plus i think you will like the result of 4:56's and 33's. anyway you can give us a pic?

Are you 4WD? You have to think about the costs of re-gearing both axles.

I think you should have a more descriptive subject thats what i think you should do.


Actually i'd go with 4.88s. a friend of mine is running 35s and 4.56s and he wishes he went with 4.88s. I'm running 4.10s right now and i think im going to go straight to 4.88s

....anything is better than what i got! i am running 32s with 3.27s, and open diffs. i have the chance to pick up some 3.73s with a posi but funding isnt really avail and i really want at least 4.10s.


CARL, let me know if/when you get rid of those 4.10s.
