What should i look out for in a 95?

Hi, i'm new to SUVs and just bought a 95 Eddie Bauer Edition. Are there any common ailments with these SUVs? Are there any problems common in the 95 model? As an owner who just switched from a car, what advice would you have for me? Thanks.

Welcome to the site..As with anything mechanical, you are going to have the occastional break downs. Have a look at the "Under the Hood" Forum. Also you might want to check out the maintiance tips section of the site. Take care of your ride and it will take care of you, and remember it's a machine, it will break from time to time..Good Luck and enjoy your new ride..

The one problem you can look to run into is the Notorious Wiper Problem. Perform a search and you'll be able to find more info on that. Other than that I haven't had anything major with my truck and I have over 104,000 miles.

Thanks for the advice guys. I don't expect anything to run like a clock all the time...hey...even clocks run out of batteries. I intend to purchase a Chilton's manual since Helm would be a little troublesome for me (i'm in Canada). I always take care of my vehicles making sure to follow the suggested severe conditions service schedule (a must over here). Are there any special tools that i require other than a bigger jack and jackstands?
