What Size and Model Flowmaster?

I have the dual in/single out, the inlets line up almost perfectly and you won't have to buy a Y pipe to go along with it. The 3" out you can run 3" all the way out the back, knock it down to 2.5" or use a y pipe there and run duals. I've just got a 3" turndown but i wouldn't recommend this if you don't like a lot of interior noise.

You could do that too. Either way, if you wanna go with the 40 series, your gonna need a Y pipe before or after the muffler... unless you run dual 40's

Ok so I should go with the center 3" inlet and dual 2.25" outlets? I probably sound really annoying. Thanks again

That, or dual 2.25 inlet and center 3" outlet.

BE CAREFUL PUTTING FLOWMASTER ON V6 ENGINES :) i should know, i put dual flows on my old 3.8 cougar, it sounded great inside, but sounded a bit ricey outside the car, sounded great at idle, kinda like a v8, that was with dual 40 series with 2.5" in/out

my 50 series has dual 2.25 in and a single 3 out... and it sounds real real evil on my truck. i can't even imagine how loud a set up with the 40 series would be (well actually i can, but i wouldn't want to)

if i had a sound clip from in the truck going 75 on the highway, one acclerating at full throttle in the truck, and one outside the truck at full throttle, you'd be sold in an instant, but i don't. at least not unless i can email you a video or get it hosted.

you need just the opposite. you need dual 2.25 inlets. this is because the stock exhaust is dual 2.25 up to the muffler.

but the 40 only comes in single inlet. ill be goign with the same setup too.. probably single center 3 inch inlet, with dual 2.25 or dual 2.5 out. Ill have to get a custom yadapter, so the stock dual 2.25 inch piping can go into the 3 inch in of the muffler.

It's too late for me. I already ordered my SUV 50
dual in , dual out 2.25.
I hope it is the right choice !!!

Its such a hard decision. Before my Mounty I had a probe with a pacesetter exhaust. The exhaust was pretty loud and sounded like a ricer. So I don't think the 40 series will bother me. I just want that signature 5.0 sound so Ill probably get the 40 series.

if you get the 40, would u mind me stopping by and listening to it. where in LI are you?

I'm in suffolk county. Yeah ill stop by with it when its done. It will probably be a few weeks though.

cool.. i prob wont be able to see it until springtime. ill be going away to school next week. good luck

how much these flow masters run? like a single pipe to replace the stock on and to get some deep rich sound.

I paid $120 for my dual in/dual out but that was through the guy that made my setup. You can probably find one online for like $90 or so.

ok cool
