hey all. i have been running 31x10.50x15's on my 15x8 rims for a while and it is just about time for new tires. i was gonna go with a 3" body lift and some 33's, but the money just isnt there and there are just gonna be to many problems in doing that. soooo, i still need new tires. General makes a really good lookin m/t (looks just like the bfg) and it is really affordable. for a 31" tire it's like $100 so i was thinkin that my work pretty well. but then again i want a tire that will last a while and i dont know what the general's are rated at. however i was kinda curious if i could maybe fit 32's or would that be to big. any imput would help, thanks

31's fit most Explorers stock, so I dont see why 32's wouldn't fit with a 2" TT....

agree. try some 32's. if ya got 31's to fit at stock, then 32's would most dif. fit w/ a tt and shackles. ya might have to trim a little bit up front but that's about it.

If you go to www.4wheelparts.com and look at the Explorer Pro Comp tires, they are running a special, buy three get one free and shipping is covered if I remember correctly. The Explorere Pro Comps are good tires and the have them in the 31x10.50 size, and the 32 & 33's aren't that bad as far as price is concerned.

the general is a good tire and the proc comps are great as well. they both last about the same s they use a softer rubber. wont last as long as a bfg but will ride smoother. ide go with 33's and bl if i were you. i got 32s with only 2"tt and they worked but i went ahead with 2"bl so i could a little more wheel travel. i really wish i went with 33's. with tupperware off on an 8" wheel they worked great when a friend let me test fit.

Personally I would stick with the Explorer Pro Comps. 4wheel parts is offering a buy one get one free, here are some prices for you, keep in mind this is a buy 3 get 1 free and they are the radial all terrains:

PCT15031 31/10.50R15 (Ply Rating=8 Tread Width=8.1 O.D.=30.2) $117.95

3x$117.95= $353.85 for all 4

*****************************************
PCT15032 32/11.50R15 $135.95

3x$135.95= $407.85 for all 4

*****************************************
And if you want the 33's
PCT15033 33/12.50R15 (Ply Rating=8 Tread Width=10.1 O.D.=32.4) $141.95

3x$141.95= $425.85 for all 4

For the Radial Mud Terrains, add about $30 to the price of the above ones.
