I have a 93 Mazda Navajo, which is the same as the explorer sport. I can fit 31" tires right now with stock lift.
I wanted to know what size tires will I be able to fit w/ the 3" body lift.

i have a 3" body lift on my x and I can only fit 31's. I tried a set of 33's and I couldn't turn the steering wheel but about a couple of inches. Even with 31's I had to cut a little of the plastic trim off whenever I put mud tires on.

dont bother with 33"s even w/ TT and shackles it is costing me $300 to get the fenders cut and painted just on the back side of the front. Go with 31 and if you can fit bigger get bigger ones next time

Yup, you'll need to trim to get 33's, but if you fit 31s now 32s will fit with the BL. On stock rims though, the 32x11.5 will rub on the front swaybar a bit.

i would say go with a 32x11.50 on a dished wheel i have a 91 with a 4 in superlift suspension and i am running 35x12.50 on it and they rub only when i cut realy sharp they hit the bumper and the fender flare my i fit 32 stock on these wheels and only rubbed in a major bind my wheels are 15x10.5 with a 4.5 inch dish out so if you can aford wheels to then you can go bigger

Having recently done this manoever, I can safely say 31X10.5 on stock rims. I had orginally put in a 3" BL and ordered new rims (15X8 with a 3.25 offset) and the 32" BFG AT KO's, and found that they worked good as long as I didn't need to turn anywhere. I was not interested in cutting my rockers to pieces, and the tires stuck out a great deal, probably requiring fender flares.

I opted to go back to 31X10.5, and put them on 15X7 with a 4.0 offset. I figured according to the thread about offsets and such, this would pretty much give me a larger tire, and not place much if any extra load on either inner or outer wheel bearings. An added bonus was that I cold jam a 31" spare under the back even with the hitch assembly! The extra half inch of clearance just wasn't really worth it to me to go 32....

I don't have a new pic yet, but you can click on a Before/After one here for a reference shot if you like..
