what the difference between a 5.0L maf and a 4.0 maf?

I bought an adapter for a 5.0L V8 MAF, i didnt notice until after i purchased it. I have a 98 Explorer sport 4.0L V6 is there any difference in sizes of the MAF?

There.is no differance between the two. I ame running a 4.0 sohc maf on my 5.0 with no problems. If I remember right they have the same part number.
