I just got new 6x8's in the front doors in my 93 X and a month later they blew out. What the hell!??!!? What do I do now this is my second pair of door speakers! Why do the keep blowing up I put a new raido in but the speakers I bought were like 210. The raido is only 45x4.

dont play bass through them...maybe even put some bass blockers on them.

too little power will also blow a speaker, try an amp with an electronic x-over

Distortion blows speakers, and I've probably seen more cases of that doing it rather than the RMS output of an amp doing it. If you have the amp cranked up so loud that the sound clips, then you're essentially putting DC current into the voice coil each time the sound clips. They don't like that very much.

What kind of speakers are they?

You are not overpowering them so it is a question of distortion or bass blowing them, are you turning up your HU to full, if you are they will be getting a very unclean signal. Also if you are running bass boost i'd turn it off.

If you really need loud music you need subs.

i bought some 6x8 kenwoods and i have my head unit bass on -1 b/c i am running 2 12s and i blew one of my front speakers

That aint **** I got my **** on -3 and those muther ****ers blew the **** up. I gave up and said **** it leave them out and bang the **** out of the sub.
