What tires?

Greetings again, in a few months i will be in the market for 4 new tires for the old X. Right now she has Wranger AP's that came with the 2003 rims that i have on it. They are a great tire, i have been very happy with them. Its a 95 limited, so it never see's any offroading, but does see some pretty bad snow in the winter and of course rain. Ususally i dont ask these kind of questions because i am use to driving either F-150's or Rangers and i just put on some BFG AT's or MT's and call it a day.

But my girlfriend wants something with a good ride, low road noise, but good "on road" performance. But remember that we do go in snow, and dont liek to get stuck! lol.

Any opionions on this? I was thinking along my BFG lines of somthing like a BFG Long Trail? Or similar?

My BFG AT's make no more noise then my Michelins's did, but dont know about how good they are in the snow, seeing as we dont get much of it down here in Alabama

lol, i have noticed that the Wrangers on it right now make a lot less noise than the BFG AT's i had on my Ranger.

I just got Michelin LTX M/S a few weeks ago, great tire. Very comfortable on the road and very little noise.

The M/S stands for Mud/Snow......so there ya go.

pirelli scorpion a/t...mine had like 10% tread left and still pulled my 2wd butt up to a ski resort in the snow...actually, we live in the mountains of cali and get snow all the time...they are sick in snow and ice...better than bfg's in my opinion...

I too drive in plenty of snow come the winter time and last October I had Uniroyals put on my truck. (Sorry, I don't know the model off hand, but will double check in the morning and post). They're so good in the rain and snow, I barely had to use my 4WD. Only when we exceded a foot of snow did I have to kick the 4WD in. Needless to say, I'm getting these tires again.

I know several people with this tire. They rave about it in rain & snow.
