What transmissions will fit my 97 4x4 4.0L XLT

Did a little reading but my head hurts already... can someone please accelerate my learning curve? I think I have the 5R55E and I'm looking for a bolt on swap. I'm ok with modding/adapting sensors or some other minor adjustments to make one fit... just don't want to do anything extensive like a custom driveshaft.

What other years will fit? 97-00?

Does it have to be 4x4?

Does it have to be from a 4.0L SOHC or can I use a 5.0L tranny?

Does it have to be from an XLT or can I use one from a Sport?

Does it have to be 4x4? If your is, YES.

Does it have to be from a 4.0L SOHC or can I use a 5.0L tranny?NO, the 5r55e can be from a SOHC or an OHV. No, the 5.0 trans wont work.

Does it have to be from an XLT or can I use one from a Sport?2 or 4 door doesnt matter.
