Whats faster: Manual or auto

My girfriends 4.0 ohv is pulling like low 30's in the quarter. There should be a drag racing section here.

The 4.0ohv run really low 18's in the quarter stock. And the 302's run low 17's, neither is fast.

I remember the days when a '55 Chevy nomad made a cool hot rod. So why not an explorer. Mine is a daily driver but it feels like it hauls up the on ramps okay.

I admit I have recurring thoughts about making a street rod out of it. A overboared 351 with a supercharger would be cool.

Hugh, oh yeah I was daydreaming. Now I will race a stock mustang with a 4.0! LOL.
