If he wins can i play.... I'm not all that far away, and we could settle the thread once and for all as a bone stock LX 5.0 runs away from a previously described (several pages back ) civic, and a stock OHV explorer gets beat by a civic (condition as previously desrcibed in the original post).

I raced a 03 civic last night. I am a 5.0 on 35s with 3:55 gears (WHICH IS SLOW AS BALLS) I still had his ass by about a car and a half by about 60.

i dont think boomins truck is all that slow, he smoked me leaving a trail and i have 33s and 3.73s, it looked cool though

u race ur boy yet man? take it out of overdrive when u race him if u havent already i find it better to race like that since u dont have the overdrive gears kicking in.


you should beat him u have the same mods as me cept i got a lil more. i havent lost a race to a civic not even a turbo civic good luck

No I haven't raced him yet, been working too much and haven't had time to find a good spot yet. Probabally will in april because the local racetrack will open up. I'm getting 4.56 gears and lockers this weekend so I don't know what that will do to my top end. If it's not too high I'll race him in the 1/8th mile, I don't think he'll have a chance though.

I like them alot. you should definitely get them because you've done all the stuff to get more flow but the stock exhaust manifold is holding you back. you should notice a pretty good difference with them. They put up a good fight on the install though.
