Whats the best cutting tool?

get extra blades and do be afraid to change them when you discolor them and make a rainbow on the them cut in a different spot on the blade or change it. and angle your cut till you fidn the sweet spot and it chews through it. I used the plasma because a buddy is reusing the front part on his project awd mustang. he gave me 200 to take my time and cut it out nice so it can all be reused. otherwise i would have hacked it out.

oh btw watch the oil filter or remove it and the lines on the drivers side.

yeah.. thanks for the tips... its time for an oil change anyways haha...

so your doing a swap as well? what are you doing?

Oh another thing about the reciprocating saw -- set it to slow or else you'll overheat the blade (color change of the blade's surface means its overheated) .. and then the blade becomes worthless.

This is comparable to drilling.. you should drill steel slow enough so that the metal coils out (like springs). Most drill presses will have the appropriate settings on a sticker for the material and bit size. This can get complicated but read this over if you have time:

I always use cutting oil on sawzall blades and since i have been doing it the blades have been lasting 10x longer. In a pinch anything will work such as WD-40, motor oil, etc but i get the spray can stuff from Harbor Freight. Its really sticky and works well.
