Whats up with this

My speedometor likes to jump around, like When im doing about 45 my speedometor jumps past 85 n then back to 45, an it will not hold a constint speed reading. Is this my speedometor cable or speed sensor? Or cld it be somthing els?

It could be loose behind the dash....

I checked behind the dash and on the transmission, But its not lose. its even doing it when i go 35. My fiend said that it did this because the owner befor me would not let the car warm up befor they drove it. Is this True? Should i replace the speed sensior?

mine does that too, but only in like 5-10 mph increments, nothing that extreme

your speedo is busted try to get a new one

Not claiming to be an expert, but I've never heard that before and I'm having a tough time imagining the link...

Anyway, this is fairly common on Gen 1 Explorers. Most times it's the speedo cable.
